Perspective

I’ve been working on a huge term paper for the past week on the country of Libya. It is supposed to show the importance and relevance of the country through statistics and other data. It sounds pretty boring and for the most part it was.

Except it widened my perspective.

I dont ever think about my world as greater than my state or even my country at best.

I need to have a bigger perspective in life.

In my faith. And in what I think about and care about.

God made billions of people.

He loves and cares about every one of them.

So should I.

Obviously I can’t know them all.

But loving and caring about every nation as God’s children.

Whether they care about america or not.

Whether they are my enemy or not.

Love. Everyone. Because He loved.

Thank you for your unfailing Love, Mercy, and Grace.

Corruption Over Time

Recently I found this website that provides a list of country’s and their corruption ratings determined by surveys and in depth research.

Most of the countries that I expected to be the most corrupt were.

But on a scale of 1-10 the US was pretty low for a country that was founded on such high standards.

(The surveys used column refers to the amount of different survey companies that were used.)

I wonder what our score would have been in the early years of our country.

Why has it diminished? Will it continue to diminish without resistance from the American people?

I sure hope not.

Faith. Hope. Charity.
