First off I’d like to apologize for my lack of posts and presence here on my blog.
I have had one of, if not the busiest, holiday seasons yet.
Started off the break with a busy week or so at Buckhead Church preparing for Christmas services. I couldn’t have picked a more fun way to spend my days. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Along with work, I had the blessing of being with my family every night.
A few days before Christmas my mom received news from her doctor that she had breast cancer again.
About 9 years ago she had an isolated spot of breast cancer and had it safely removed.
It was not news any of us had expected or were ready for, although the cancer is very small and is a slow growing type.
The news hit me harder than anything I have ever experienced, although I had an extreme amount of comfort that followed.
Christ was there every minute. Embracing me when I needed it most and by my mother’s side every step of the way.
This Christmas our family spent celebrating the blessings we have been given and the blessings that are soon to come.
I know that God has a plan for this circumstance and it will bring Him glory and in return, bring us joy.
God is the ultimate healer and comforter and I have faith that He will be with our family through this small speedbump in our journey.
I look forward to my next update on this matter when I can praise Him for his providence and healing.
Over the past few days I have been blown away by the enormous faith in Christ that my mother and father have.
It has been an outstanding example for me.
I have the two most absolutely amazing parents in the world.
The last few weeks with my family were wonderful and I could not be more blessed.
